Since 1972, the Adult Learning Center has been provided quality
education to the people of greater Nashua. We share a common goal of
independence,
self-sufficiency and self-worth with our clients. By becoming
employed and independent of social services, our students discover their
own dignity and make their own special contributions to a healthy,
prosperous community.
The Adult Learning Center helps people learn the skills they need
for life.
We serve more than 3,500 individuals each year. We are located in
two main facilities, Lake Street and Arlington Street, and have child
care programs at 21 area elementary schools. Our staff has earned and
maintained positions of leadership in adult education, technology training,
workplace literacy, and child care. |
| We are governed by a volunteer
board of directors, comprised of local
citizens. The Adult Learning Center is
a private, not-for-profit agency. We
receive financial support from United
Way; program-related federal, state,
county, and city grants; and donations
from businesses, individuals,
foundations and civic organizations. |
